23 Days and counting!

Oh my Goodness it's getting so close!  I can't believe I've been in WA for over a month now and have only about 2 weeks before we all pack up and head back to Texas to get ready for the big day!  There's so much to do!  My mom and I have cut and sewn more than half of the fabric squares for the centerpieces!  They look great! I've started on putting together paper for picture frames for the pictures we're going to use for the centerpieces.  It's so fun and the more I see the brown and blue together, the more I LOVE IT!!  I believe all of my bridesmaids have also received their dresses and one even sent me entertaining pictures with the creative ways of using the shawl that was included! Hilarious!  The little flower girls are ordering their dresses which of course are so precious and of course will steal the show! Hopefully shyness and toddler honeriness will stay at bay and they'll be able to show them off as they walk down the aisle!  We've been tossing around ideas for the programs and settled on some, so the printing and assembly of those will be ensuing quickly!  It's craziness!  In all of these projects (and working on Saturdays) I have to find some time to find a rehearsal dinner dress!  If you have any ideas for a fun colorful dress let me know!  We were also blessed to be able to have 2 wedding showers!  It was so great to get to see people I haven't been able to see in a long time and catch up with everyone!  I was sad that Brock wasn't able to be there, but it was fun girl time!

On a different note, it's been quite chilly here!  8-9 deg at night and nice icy windshields when heading off to work!  Only 5 more days of work (=50 hours).  It's been a great experience and I've even done 2 evaluations in ICU rooms which is quite nerve racking! I've been seeing most of our caseload myself and have been learning a lot! It's been great to actually see how everything gets put together and it took me awhile to get comfortable in the hospital setting, but I feel actually capable now! Just in time to leave right?  Isn't that how it always is? I miss Dallas tho and am definitely ready to head back and see everybody, especially one certain man :)

Well friends, hopefully we will be seeing you in a few weeks and if not, hopefully your Christmas goes well!  Love you all!

Week update

It has been an interesting couple of weeks!  A LOT has happened!  Finished up finals, packed quickly and am now currently in Washington living with my parents and working at my first clinical at a hospital up here! It's been a great experience and I'm learning a lot so far and it's only been 2 days!  But unfortunately being in WA means that I have to be away from Brock for WAY too long! :(  I'll be back a week before the wedding which should be interesting!  We also moved into our new apartment on Oct. 31!  We love it and are really excited to have it be the last place we live in Dallas!! (We are sick of moving!)  Brock is working his little butt off at his two jobs and trying to get our apartment in order for his parents to come for Thanksgiving and of course for me to come home!  That's pretty much our lives in a nutshell! Hope all is going well for all of you!

They're all up!!

So another engagement picture update...our awesome photographer has posted all of our pics from our session on her website!  Click on our names and then use McNeal as the password and check em out! :)  We really like them, there are of course some real goofy ones, but it wouldn't be complete without those pictures!  Well, Brock's gotta go to work and I have to continue studying for my hardest skills test of my PT career tomorrow!! Wish me luck and let me know what you think of them!

Pictures!!!

Here are the first few pics that have been posted! I'll let you all know when I have more! I love them!  Can't wait to see more!  Hope you guys all like them!

We left Adriatica becuase it was so windy and sunny we couldn't find many more places so we went to down town McKinney for some edgier shots...cause Brock and I are so edgy ;) But it was really fun! I love this wall and the colored door! YAY!

This was a little hallway area and there were lights strung above us but the blasted wind made it like a wind tunnel and then only way we could get my hair to stop flying everywhere was to tuck it awkwardly behind my shoulder.  It really was quite ridiculous! But those are my wedding shoes so yay!!  And our pretty sunflowers!

We decided to take our blanket to get a little bit o baylor flare in there! And we had a bottle of wine and grapes and bread :)  Cause we picnic all the time! :) haha, well we sit on the floor and drink wine and eat bread so that's our own little picnic inside!
This on is my favorite, a friend of min said it was like a little glimpse into one of our intimate moments...love it!

I love this archway! We tried to do more things but again, the blasted sun got in our creative way!

Our photographer was literally falling of the steps taking this picture! It was in front of this really cool light house looking thing that we tried to get into cause you could see the stairs and it had all these lights on it and was just generally really cool, but alas, locked up tight.

Anyway, that's it for the pics for now! Hope ya'll like them as much as we do!!

Weekend Events

We are officially moved into our new place and I have now slept in the gloriousness that is our soon-to-be married apartment for 2 nights! I love the actual apartment, it's so bright and new and the area is amazing! Tons of stuff to do and it's safe!  And we have our own reserved covered parking spot which is excellent!  I will post pictures soon!  With the help of our friends and Brock's mom we were able to move in and set up in abour 7 hours!  Not too bad for 5 people moving 2 apartments!

We also had our engagement pictures Sunday night which was definitely a great time! I'm really excited to see the pictures! The first few should be posted in a few days on our photographers blog so make sure to check that in the next few days! I'll let you know when the proofs get put up on her site too so you can see them all (should be about 2 weeks).

It was just such a great weekend spending it all with Brock and his mom and friends and seeing how married life is going to come together!  I'm so thankful for it!  More to come later when I get the pictures downloaded!

Oh and I think I was able to fix the comments problem so email me if it's still not working!

Engagement Picture Fun

So after my incredibly long and complaining post of this afternoon I thought I would quickly share the fun (slightly random) things we found to bring to our engagement pictures as props on Sunday!!

We like to drink wine and read so...a bottle of wine, glasses and some books will most likely appear. Also in the spirit of a picnic feel we thought we could do something fun with a wicker basket. Maybe put the bottle and books in it or something. We're also going to bring a green and gold blanket to get some BU flavor in there of course!
Another idea I had was an old picture frame. Not sure how this one will work, but if it doesn't, we can always use it to decorate our apartment somehow! And it was on 50% off sale at Michaels! (it's like the picture minus the inside wooded rim)We also had to add something cowboys and football so we found a Cowboys football to do something with. And lastly, my personal random touch the always fun white feather boa! :)
Hopefully they'll turn out great! I'm pretty excited looking at our photographers blog, she has some cool shots up, check her out at Sweet Memories Photography

Please Sir May I Have Some More?

So this day started out fantastic! I was done with all the work I needed to do, only had class from 10-12 and then a relaxing hair appointment . I thought why not take Mac to get a bath too (he's stinky) and I'll go shop for fun photo props for our engagement pictures and then go home and pack for our move on Saturday. Doesn't that sound like a good, not too stressful day? I thought so too...

Got to school at 9:45 to print my assignment that was due today that I had spent about 3 hours on last night, opened up my document and WHAT?! It was definitely NOT the completed paper but the one that was not half done that I had started Tuesday night. Oh Crap...

12:30 got home, checked my school folder, checked windows, searched my computer, and nothing. No completed paper. Fantastic...now I get to write it all over again. And my hair appointment is in 45 min. Bye, bye relaxing, I, like the geek that I am, packed up my laptop and was clicking away on it in the waiting room, and later in the chair waiting for my hair to set while everyone else around me was reading People or Wedding magazines. Thankfully, I finished it by the end of my appointment and left the salon to head to school to print it out. At school I was told that my test grade from 2 weeks ago awaited me...soo got that one back (not too pretty).

Oh well, what's done is done, need to get Mac to his bath at Petsmart and then ahhh, an hour to myself at Michaels! Get into the grooming place 10 min late where they can't locate his file anywhere in their system. This is all while I have an 80lb dog pulling my arm off to leave or get to other dogs, which of course always fosters a calm and stress free spirit in me (that's sarcasm if you couldn't tell). I waited for 20 min as Mac is shaking and panting and trying to get to the door for them to tell me that his Rabis shot was up in June and he needs to get that before he can do anything, and of course, he just in general needs to have it. So I pull Mac over to the vets desk shaking and jittery and barking and pulling. Spend the next 20 min talking/trying to control my building frustration as the guy treats me like an idiot and like I'm completely putting him out with my request. Being treated like an idiot always puts me in a better mood too! Finally, an hour after I had entered the door we see the vet, get the shot and head out. As a parting gift Mac freaked out on a dog as we were leaving (to be fair the other dog barked at him first).

Finally got him in the car and headed home to pack up mine and Brock's apartment. Don't even know where to begin. We have some empty broken down boxes but I had forgotten to get the packing tape...so I quit and decided to write this (long) blog about my frustrating and stressful day.

Sorry for the rant. But the next post will be happy and include pictures of our new apartment!! YAY!!

Brand new blog

So we are followers of a crowd! I recently started reading all of our friends blogs and decided that we needed one as well, so here it is! Just because we really need something else to add to our lives right now! We wanted to share what's going on in our world with whoever might care, so here goes the attempt! Hopefully it won't be too boring all the time and we'll be able to keep up with it! Hope you enjoy!
